Black, green, white, and oolong teas, all come from the same plant, Camellia sinensis. The oxidation, processing, and other factors give their distinctive characteristics. Other teas, are more correctly named tisanes. These include the herbal type (chamomile, peppermint, etc.), mate, and rooibos.
