PATENT OF COCKTAIL SHAKER (1937): Patent Greeting Card

An innkeeper in the mid 19thC, whilst using two containers to pour drinks back and forth, noticed the mouth of one container being smaller than the other. He proceeded to hold the them together, then shaking them "for a bit of a show". With several patent developments since, the result was the shaker that we use today.
