Munich is home to one of the oldest cinemas in the world - the Neues Kino Gabriel which has been running since 1906. Munich is also home to over 60 beer gardens, and runs the famous Oktoberfest anually. Unknown to many, the escalator speed in the city is increased during the fesitval to improve crowd management.
