SNOW SCENE AT BENZAITEN SHRINE: Japanese Greeting Card

The snow scene is by the Japanese woodblock print master, Utagawa Hiroshige. A snowscape offers a hint of new beginnings - whether it be a plum blossom coming into bud or a tiny blade of grass. Here we have the red of the temple, in a shade of colour that is said to ward off negativity.
