BEDROOM IN ARLES (1889): Painting Greeting Card

Vincent van Gogh (1853-1890) depicted his bedroom almost identically in three paintings. He explained in a letter to his brother of his desire to convey the tranquillity and the simplicity of his room through the use of colours, writing "I wanted to express absolute repose with these different colours".
