A space capsule is an often-crewed spacecraft that enables to re-enter the earth's atmosphere without wings. Patent by Maxime Allen Faget (1921–2004) - engineer designer of the Mercury spacecraft, the Space Shuttle, who also contributed to the design of the Gemini and Apollo spacecrafts.
