The mouse is the first animal that appears in the twelve Chinese/Japanese zodiac. Symbolic of the ability to accomplish anything in life regardless of size, and due to their adaptability, the mouse was regarded as a sacred being in Greek mythology. By Japanese artist Watanabe Seitei (1851-1918).
