Useful fact about booze. We're told to drink milk before a heavy night of alcohol. Whilst it is a good idea to have food in the stomach prior to drinking, the alcohol absorption happens in the small intestine, so “coating the stomach” with milk, actually doesn't help reduce the effects of getting drunk.
