The fierce figure shown is Minamoto no Yoshihira, nicknamed “Akugenta” (Wicked Genji), a warrior famed for both bravery and ferocity. According to legend, after being beheaded by the Taira clan, he returned as a ghost at Nunobiki Waterfall to confront his killer.
