The birthday of cinema is considered to be when the “Grand Cafe” of Paris organised the first paid screening on 28th December 1895. The admission was 1 franc to see “The Arrival of a Train at La Ciotat Station” which lasted 50 seconds long, successfully causing fear and panic amongst the audience.
