By British textile designer and potter William Morris (1834-1896). The artist was inspired by the beauty of wild nature of the British countryside, imitating the shapes of the flowers in patterns that have ‘beauty, imagination and order’. His first designs took inspiration from his own garden as well as Renaissance paintings and tapestries.
